As of this writing, Weather with a Twist has 724 subscribers. Thank you! Since launch, our internal goal has been 1,000 subscribers by June. Our current pace brings us very close to that goal.
Why does this matter? If we reach our goal it makes it much more likely we can continue publishing WWAT. The education team of the American Meteorological Society, a non-profit science research organization, publishes this free newsletter. The more subscribers we have, the better case we can make that this is helping to advance the mission of the AMS.
What can you do?
Talk about us! Each of those bumps in the growth chart above is from a mention on a weather- or science-related online resource (except the biggest one, which came when I sacrificed an Old Farmer’s Almanac to Rolling Diceus, the Greek god of weather forecasting). That could be a storm-chasing Facebook group, a personal Linked.in post, a mention on a science podcast, etc.
If you are a part of any weather or science-related online group, please mention us to the others! And post to your XLinkTikBookGram… and other groups that you are active in. Like mononucleosis, word-of-mouth is the best way to get it. And it doesn’t cost a cent. Feel free to use our fancy logo that took all of 10 minutes to draw on a slow Saturday evening in November:
We have some fun ideas and plans for WWAT in 2024. But it starts with hitting our goal by June. Please help by spreading the word!
